The Razorback Fastball team is proud to offer the following sponsorships in Pat DuFour’s memory:

 

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITES:

 

The Razorback College/University Academic Bursary:

Established in 2009 by Leah Neiser in memory of her father Pat Dufour the Razorback College/University Academic Bursary shall be granted to a Midget Rep player who exemplifies a passion for hockey and community spirit.

Eligibility:  Any Midget Rep player who participated in the 2008-09 season and will be attending Post Secondary Education in 2009-10

Value: $1,000.00

Conditions: Proof of acceptance to a college or university, written essay explaining the true passion of hockey and where it comes from. (500 words in length submitted to troydufour@hotmail.com or kneiser@cogeco.ca no later than Aug 15, 2009) this individual must also be an active participant within the Flamborough community, a list his/her services and involvement in the community is required.

FHA Academic Bursary:

Established in 2009 by the FHA Executive to match the Razorback Academic Bursary, this award is granted to any House League player who exemplifies a passion for hockey and community spirit.

Eligibility: Any Midget/Juvenile House League player who participated in the 2008-09 season and will be attending Post Secondary Education in 2009-10.

Value: $1,000.00

Conditions: Proof of acceptance to a college or university, written essay explaining the true passion of hockey and where it comes from. The Pat DuFour Coaching Award:

Established in 2009 by Troy Dufour in memory of his father Pat Dufour, this award is to be presented to a coach who shows dedication, leadership, role model for young kids and an overall passion and love of the game of hockey.

Conditions: Presented to a coach or executive member who exemplifies the qualities of Pat DuFour.  This candidate does not coach his/her own child and nominations are accepted from all FHA members.  (This year’s award is presented to Greg Large.)

Value: Variable

Number: One

 

The Razorback Enhancement Award:

Established in 2009 in memory of Pat Dufour the Razorback enhancement Award will be granted to an individual who demonstrates financial need, in order to play hockey at the rep level.

Eligibility: Any player within the organization who shows the capability and skill level to play Rep hockey but other wise can not  due so to financial reason.

Value: $1,500.00 (Registration & Fees)

Conditions: Presented to a child who meets the skill level required to play Rep hockey and whose family would otherwise be unable to financially support this level of hockey. A financial questionnaire may be asked to be filled out upon request.

 

The Pat DuFour Big Brother Learn to Play Program:

Established in 2009 by Penny Dufour in loving memory of her husband Pat Dufour this donation will granted to 5 individuals at the house league or entry level program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.

Eligibility: Any individual who is registered or wishes to register with Flamborough Minor Hockey who demonstrates a financial need.

Value: $500.00 (Registration & Equipment)

Conditions: Presented to a child whose family otherwise would be unable to financially support registration & equipment. A financial questionnaire may be asked to be filled out upon request.
